Mormonism vs. the Bible: Can Truth Evolve?

In this video, we examine the stark contrast between the eternal truth of God’s Word and the evolving doctrines of Mormonism. While Scripture has remained consistent for thousands of years—confirmed by numerous ancient manuscripts and affirmed by Jesus Himself—LDS teachings have shifted dramatically over time. Doctrines regarding polygamy, priesthood eligibility, and even the nature of God have changed with each generation.

God Himself declares, “I the Lord do not change” (Malachi 3:6), and the Bible affirms that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). If God’s truth is eternal, can teachings that constantly evolve genuinely claim divine origin? James warns that God’s Word is not like shifting shadows: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change” (James 1:17).

This video explores why the Bible alone stands as the unshakable, trustworthy foundation of God’s Word. Mormonism’s continual revisions reveal a human-directed religion rather than one established by an unchanging God. Christians are called to hold fast to eternal truth and to discern teachings by their alignment with God’s unchanging Word (Isaiah 40:8).
