.:DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS COMPARED WITH BOOK OF COMMANDMENTS – Most Significant Changes in LDS Scripture
Many of the original revelations of the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants Scripture were published in the 1833 Book of Commandments. Two years later, when these revelations were re-published in the first edition of Doctrine and Covenants, significant changes became apparent.
We have provided the following photo images of the original 1833 version of each revelation, along with handwritten notes to demonstrate words added and deleted in the current edition of the revelation. Below each 1833 Book of Commandments photo reprint, we have provided a photo image of a current edition of Doctrine and Covenants. The underlined portions of the text in the current edition display what has been added to the revelation since its original publication in Book of Commandments.
